A fingerpainting for Earth Day 2021

“The time has come, the Walrus said,
To talk of many things:
Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax —
Of cabbages — and kings —
And why the sea is boiling hot —
And whether pigs have wings.”

From Lewis Carroll’s “The Walrus and the Carpenter”

So “Why the sea is boiling hot”?
In this clever and ironic poem Carroll uses animals to allude to human deception and trickery.
Oceans are the cradle of life and we are polluting them, choking them with plastics, and catastrophically warming them with our human induced climate change. We are over-fishing and destroying the habitat of the noble creatures that inhabit them.  I think that Carroll would agree that on this Earth Day, it’s no longer the time to talk, it’s time to ACT. I am making a donation to Greenpeace on behalf of the Walrus and the Finch. Please join me.
The Walrus And The Finch was fingerpainted with Procreate app on iPadPro. It’s part of my series of Noble Sea Creatures in the Ruff.
